Evergreen House is Drew’s second San Antonio home, with 8 beds in a central residential neighborhood — a practical choice for men who are employed or job-searching in the city’s core employment areas. Residents follow the same daily schedule and accountability structure as Chittim, with a strongly encouraged 30 hour work week and a live in house manager upholding every expectation. Both San Antonio houses offer the identical structured housing community: morning breathalyzer testing for every resident, drug testing every two weeks, accountability check ins, a strongly encouraged 30 hour work week, strongly encouraged 12 step meetings, and financial literacy training covering budgeting, saving, and credit rebuilding. A live in house manager, a man in long term recovery, upholds the same expectations at every property. Any positive or refused test results in immediate discharge in accordance with house policy. Most men stay from 90 days to 12 months, with an 8-month average.
