Front exterior of Foundation House, a two-story brick residence in New Braunfels

Foundation House is Drew’s Sober Living’s New Braunfels men’s recovery residence, with 11 beds in a quiet residential setting. Like every Drew’s property, Foundation House runs the same structured, accountability-based program: daily breathalyzer testing, biweekly drug screening, a 30-hour weekly work requirement, mandatory 12-step meetings, financial literacy training, and live-in house management.

The Daily Program at Foundation House

Morning begins with breathalyzer testing for every resident, followed by an accountability check-in where each man reports on recovery goals, employment progress, and challenges. By mid-morning, residents leave for work, school, or vocational training to meet the 30-hour weekly requirement. Afternoons include sponsor meetings, personal development, and house responsibilities. Evenings bring a required 12-step meeting and group reflection. Financial literacy training covers budgeting, saving, and credit rebuilding throughout the program. Any positive or refused test results in immediate discharge in accordance with house policy.

Who Foundation House Serves

Foundation House serves men in early recovery who benefit from structured sober living in New Braunfels — men completing treatment who need step-down accountability, families seeking a safe and supervised environment for a loved one, and treatment centers referring men who need recovery housing outside San Antonio. Most men stay from 90 days to 12 months, with an 8-month average.

How Foundation House Connects to Drew’s Sober Living Program

Foundation House runs the same structured, accountability-based sober living program as Drew’s other residences: Chittim House and Evergreen House in San Antonio, and Chapel House in New Braunfels. Divine House, a 10-bed fifth residence, is coming soon. All four operating houses share one standard — compare all properties on the Our Houses page.
