Evergreen House is Drew’s second San Antonio home, with 8 beds in a central residential neighborhood — a practical choice for men who are employed or job-searching in the city’s core employment areas. Both San Antonio houses run the identical daily program: morning breathalyzer testing for every resident, biweekly drug screening, accountability check-ins, a 30-hour weekly work requirement, mandatory daily 12-step meeting attendance, and financial literacy training covering budgeting, saving, and credit rebuilding. A live-in house manager — a man in long-term recovery — upholds the same expectations at every property. Any positive or refused test results in immediate discharge in accordance with house policy. Most men stay from 90 days to 12 months, with an 8-month average.
